Nudestix has launched a skin care line — Nudeskin. The brand gained a cult following due to its minimal approach to makeup, focusing on easy-to-use multi-tasking products in convenient pens and stick packaging. The brand is also known for its innovative tins, equipped with mirrors — for easy touch-ups on-the-go. 

Now, the new skin care line follows the same philosophy — and has incorporated sustainability into its design. 

Nudeskin includes Citrus Clean Balm & Make-Up Melt, Gentle Hydra-Gel Face Cleanser, Lemon-Aid Detox & Glow Micro-Peel, 5% Citrus Fruit & Glycolic Glow Toner, and Citrus-C Mask & Daily Moisturizer.  

Nudeskin Explains Recycling Instructions To Consumers

Nudeskin tubes can be recycled using the “Save-a-tin Recycling Program” to offer customers, by sending them a compostable bag to fill with its tins and tubes.

The toner is in a recyclable PP bottle with a cleverly designed dispensing cap. The user can push down on the cap to dispense the liquid directly onto a finger, or cotton ball. See it below. 

The other products are in dual-layer tubes. The inner and outer layers are made from recyclable LLDPE. The middle layer is recyclable AL, with an adhesive made from biodegradable EAA.  The tube’s caps are recyclable PP.

An illustration on Nudeskin’s website tells consumers about the packaging materials for each product — and exactly how to recycle them. Both the caps, tubes, and bottle can be recycled — but should be cleaned out first. Nudeskin’s illustrations instruct consumers to remove all caps and cut open the tubes to clean out before recycling. 

The cartons that are 100% bio-degradable printed with soy ink. In addition, excess packaging has been eliminated where possible.

Created in collaboration with renowned dermatologist Dr. Jason Emer, Nudeskin has been formulated, tested, and approved to help signs of skin aging, damage, blemishes, and inflammation.

It uses “skin renewal principles,” the brand says, that apply to most skin concerns regardless of age and gender. The products are vegan, paraben-free, cruelty-free and gluten-free.
